COURSE SUMMARY:
Implementation of hazard identification, risk management, and risk control (HIRARC) in the workplace has become fundamental to the practice of planning, management, and the operation of a business as a basis of risk management. This was recognized as a proactive way of managing hazards and risk, to control the identified hazard before it becomes the root cause of accident. This training program will provide participants the skill and knowledge on the best way of developing HIRARC activities at workplace. This HIRARC is part of regulatory requirement that safety management standard, Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 45001 require it to be done prior to certification.
COURSE OUTLINE:
Introduction to HIRARC.
Malaysia legislation - OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967.
The legal requirement for OSH risk management.
Occupational hazard group.
Risk assessment process.
Controlling the risk.
Monitor progress and review.
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
To implement hazard identification, risk management and risk control (HIRARC) in the workplace.
To identify all potential sources of harm in the workplace, including equipment, processes, materials, and environmental factors.
To evaluate the likelihood and severity of each identified hazard, considering the possibility of an accident and the potential impact on workers.
To implement effective control measures to eliminate or minimize the risks associated with the identified hazards
To regularly review and update HIRARC procedures to ensure they remain relevant and effective as the workplace environment changes.
To foster a culture where employees are aware of the risks in their workplace and actively participate in hazard identification and risk control.
